4×5 Art Show 1st Place in Analogue Photography

This piece was created using a pinhole camera. Pinhole cameras are dark boxes with a very small hole, a pinhole, poked into the side. Light enters the hole and exposes a piece of film paper, but only a very small amount of light gets into the camera. This means that a long exposure time is required to get a properly exposed image. Knowing this I set up this picture to allow for me to move positions during the 4 or 5 minutes it took to shoot the photo. The two people sitting on the bench are both me! This is why they both have a somewhat transparent appearance. I submitted this piece to the 4×5 art competition, and it won 1st place in the analogue photography category!

Micheal Kenna Emulation Project

This series was an emulation project made to emulate the style of Micheal Kenna. I had a really fun time editing these photos to match the high contrast medium format film look. Despite looking like film photos, all of these pictures are digital.
